Minimum Requirements

- South African Citizen
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Project or Construction Management Qualification - advantageous
- Experience in construction management
- Minimum 10 years' experience in project leadership role
- Strong knowledge of construction process
- Strong knowledge of safety in the construction industry
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Computer Literate
- Proficient in project management software
- Strong problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and oversee construction projects from planning in the detail design phase through to commissioning and handover.
- Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop project plans accordingly.
- Procure and management contractors and construction crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety protocols and quality standards.
- Monitor project risk and progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Conduct site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of construction activities with plant operations.
- Procure materials and equipment necessary for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits and progress reports.
