Reference: JHB000052-Charl-1 Leading international mining company is looking for an experience and qualified Furnace Construction Lead to join their dynamic team. As the construction lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing the execution of the company's up and coming furnace rebuild project. You will work closely with engineering and planning leads to ensure that construction activities align with production goals and adhere to safety and quality standards. If you have extensive experience in construction management, strong leadership skills, a commitment to excellence and tick all the minimum requirement boxes - then this is the position for you. A Minimum Requirements South African Citizen Bachelor Degree in Engineering Project or Construction Management Qualification - advantageous Experience in construction management Minimum 10 years' experience in project leadership role Strong knowledge of construction process Strong knowledge of safety in the construction industry Excellent leadership and communication skills Computer Literate Proficient in project management software Strong problem solving skills Attention to detail Responsibilities Plan, organise and oversee construction projects from planning in the detail design phase through to commissioning and handover. Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop project plans accordingly. Procure and management contractors and construction crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety protocols and quality standards. Monitor project risk and progress and provide regular updates to senior management. Conduct site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of construction activities with plant operations. Procure materials and equipment necessary for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits and progress reports.
