A reputable Tyre rethread company is currently recruting for a General Manager to join their team. Job Purpose: The core purpose of the role is to oversee all aspects of the company's operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and adherence to company policies and industry standards. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of the tyre Recemic industry. Task 1 – Operational Management Oversee day-to-day operations of the tyre recamic facility. Ensure efficient production processes and high-quality output. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). Task 2 – Financial Management: Develop and manage the annual budget. Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures. Prepare regular financial reports for senior management / executive. Task 3 – Sales and Marketing: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth. Maintain relationships with key customers and partners. Oversee marketing campaigns and promotional activities. Task 4 – Human Resources: Train, and manage staff to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce. Implement performance management systems and staff development programs. Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Task 5 – Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery. Handle customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and build new ones. Task 6 – Quality Control: Ensure all products meet industry standards and customer expectations. Implement quality assurance processes and conduct regular inspections. Address any quality issues promptly and effectively. Task 7 – Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure the facility complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions. Task 8 – Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term business strategies. Identify market trends and opportunities for growth. Prepare business plans and proposals for new projects. Any other duties or ad hock tasks. Academic qualifications Essential: Grade 12. Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous. Note: Valid Driver's licence Able to work overtime/extended hours as required. Work experience Essential: At least 6 – 8 years tyre rethreading/manufacturing experience essential. At least 4-5 years Tyre rethread/tyre manufacturing experience at Management level essential. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Essential: Proven track record of applying business acumen. Evidence of effectively applying new thinking to drive improvement and efficiency. Knowledge of relevant statutory legislation Operational excellence deployment. Company policies and procedures Business perspective Computer, technology, and systems skills Report writing skills.
