Our client, a long-time JSE listed entity, seeks your finance experience to reconcile the financial performance of a specialised portfolio. Minimum Job Requirements: B.Com (Accounting / Business Science) essential. Min 5 years’ experience in Financial Services, FMCG or Retail, with specialisation in contributing and crafting controls/processes associated with pioneering business initiatives. Specialised experience in financial transactional communication across business silos essential. Competencies: Strategic and systematic thinker with strong analytical skills. Ability to perform financial modelling. High degree of confidentiality, emotional maturity, ethical values and integrity. Must have a high stress tolerance and the ability to prioritise and execute tasks efficiently in a highly pressurised environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills An innovative thinker and ability to solve complex problems. Strong team affiliation. Must be collaborative, influential, and rational. Ability to recognise patterns and engage in high-level decision-making. Precise planning and excellent organisational/administration skills. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Quality orientated and self-driven to achieve results. The Job: Report to the Divisional Accountant: Financial Reporting/Accounting: Reconcile accounts and resolve outstanding balances/reconciled items. Prepare accruals, provisions, and post journals. Perform month end procedures. Prepare cashflow budget/forecast and analysis as required. Report monthly on debtors and creditors’ status including long overdues. Prepare budgets and forecast including presentations. Analysis and review reconciliation. Review balance sheet recons. Review and approve payments. Prepare Executive commentary monthly/related reports. Manage staff. Regulation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, company policies and relevant regulations in the performance of tasks. Uphold security measures and authorisation levels for effective functioning of the policy and processes. Assist with both the internal and external audit processes. Administration: Resolve internal and external queries. Analyse accounting records to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting standards. Relationship Management: Liaise with divisions regarding onboarding, changes and new products offering. Provide feedback to Managers and apply continuous improvements to optimise policy and processes. Apply Now
