If you enjoy a simple lifestyle and have a passion for nature, the outdoors, white beaches, and enjoy water sports like snorkeling, windsurfing, canoeing, and hiking, then this job opportunity is perfect for you Our client, a leading importer and distributor of fresh, frozen, and FMCG products in the Seychelles marketplace, is seeking a Group Financial Manager to join their team Duties and Responsibilities : Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve the company's goals and objectives Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with the Seychelles and South African accounting standards Provide regular financial updates to the General Manager and Managing Director of Apex Budget Management: Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and monitor budgetary performance Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements Cash Flow Management: Manage and optimize the company's cash flow to meet operational needs Implement effective cash management strategies and ensure liquidity Manage and control working capital Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them Monitor compliance within the Seychelles financial regulations and legislation Financial Controls: Establish and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance and mentoring Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance department Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects: Undertake special financial analysis projects as required by the executive team Provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making Qualifications and Experience : Professional Accounting designation, preferably a Chartered Accountant At least 15 years accounting experience, preferably in a senior role In depth understanding of stock management and costing In depth understanding of accounting systems and internal controls Experience working with Syspro and QuickBooks Knowledge: A strong background in warehousing and distribution, preferably in a retail or Hotel, Restaurant and Catering sales environment Must have experience in managing a finance team Skills: Exceptional Accounting skills Excellent Excel skills Strong written and oral communication skills Good command of the English language Package & Remuneration: Salary will be based on previous experience and will be market related.
