Reference: CPT002571-AK-1 GROUP OPERATIONS MANAGER Market Related Income, Medical Aid plus Pension Savings Our client, a privately owned company and leader in the consumer finance industry, and due to the Group of Companies expanding in factoring and trade finance, they require a Group Operations Manager to oversee the day to day running of the Group of Companies. The GOM will work closely with our CEO, managing efficiencies, expansion and risk. The GOM will also be responsible for the overall health of the organisation; reviewing financial reports; oversight of investment activities and developing strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the organisation. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience at senior management with a proven track record of financial as well as people management with the ability to produce results in a high-pressure environment where their ideas and inputs are valued and rewarded. Duties and Responsibili ties Operational oversight of all departments in the Group of Companies Decision making in absence of the CEO Direct reporting line of 10 Head of Departments Staff compliment of 140 in the group Custodian of business financial controls Risk assessment and compliance Costing and pricing inputs, margin guidance and reporting to the business Market intelligence, best practices and logistics Assist with client relationship management in maximizing value through their business relationship. Devise and implement cost saving strategies Oversee the entire group's tax affairs including both VAT and income tax so as to ensure compliance while minimizing liability Oversee credit and risk management from both a regulatory & compliance perspective Consolidating and collating monthly reporting for the Group and providing strategic analysis and recommendations to the CEO Development, identifying and driving new market opportunities Customer relations management, including marketing & presentations Required skills and experience Senior management experience with a proven track record of delivery and management of people/teams. Attention to detail and proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risk is essential. Confident & Pro-active leadership approach. Financial degree CA (SA) / B Com or equal. Understanding of tax legislation and tax structures. Excellent command of written and spoken English with grammatical accuracy. Strong marketing and customer relations experience.
