We are looking for a Handyman to join the team. Supervise and lead a team of semi skilled and general workers, assigning tasks, and ensuring all team members are aware of their responsibilities Develop work schedules and assign tasks based on priorities and deadlines, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time Ensure that all work completed by the team meets the required quality standards and follows safety guidelines. Provide technical guidance and assistance to the team members, especially when dealing with complex or challenging repair tasks Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies required for the team's work, and ensuring they are well-maintained and readily available. Address any issues or challenges that arise during projects, finding solutions, and making decisions that keep the work progressing smoothly Ensure that the team follows all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards during the execution of their work. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to avoid potential issues and extend the lifespan of equipment and property Be prepared to handle emergency maintenance requests and coordinating the team's response to urgent situations. Perform general plumbing tasks including washers, taps, unblocking toilets, unblocking stacks, installing new sinks, urinals and toilets, pipework (copper or PVC) Perform general carpentry such as hanging doors, new locks, architraves, window frames, boxing in, assembling furniture, easing, and adjusting windows, replacing handles and similar hardware. Timeously report on problems/failures that may impact on the organisation to Line Manager Facilitate day to day care and maintenance of gardens, trees, grass, estate infrastructure and stormwater trenches and dams. Regularly inspect garden structures and undertaking minor repairs or advising Line Manager of any need to replace/rebuild. Perform general garden carpentry tasks such as assembling and maintaining furniture, replacing handles and similar hardware. Grade 12 Valid Driver's Licence Relevant electrical certification (advantageous) Minimum of 3 Years experience as a Handyman
