Luxurious Lodge in a reserve near Hluhluwe is looking for an experienced Head Chef. Experience required: Experience in the service industry especially in dealing with guests and staff At least 3 years relevant experience at a 5 star lodge Passion for creating fabulous food Valid unendorsed SA driver’s license essential Panstrat Duties include: Kitchen Hygiene standards set Responsible for training chefs & implementing kitchen standards Abide by the menu Work with the training chef when visits are conducted and be feedback fit. Creative Bush Banqueting Proactive Maintenance Good stock controls and stock rotation All food going out to guests at any time to be checked in absence of the executive chef Chef to check buffets/dinner/breakfasts Quality and quantity of snacks to game drives to be checked Good interaction with Guests Good interaction/ communication Good discipline and fair treatment Good Teamwork to be promoted Have Fun and be Flexible Always be approachable Be aware of & make fellow chefs aware of special dietary needs for Guests This is a live-in position.
