Robert Walters South Africa What you'll do: As Head of Category Insights & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our client's commercial strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to develop a comprehensive Category Value Drive Strategy across all categories, ensuring these strategies are integrated into both short-term and long-term planning. Develop the total Category Value Drive Strategy/landscape across all categories with the right channel focus. Deliver strong value drive platforms for the local business working with regional and global teams. Ensure integration of value driver platforms into in-year and long-term planning of categories. Own strategic execution of value drivers into retail landscape by collaborating with Sales Team. Develop strategic pricing strategy and ensure its execution at national and channel/retailer level. Enable commercial WRT DPSS/4Ps WoW and monthly discipline. Drive Exco requirements across processes, key forums and tools related to category insights and requirements. Influence expected category volume trends that provide insights to sales team for stronger monthly forecasts. What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Head of Category Insights & Analytics position brings a wealth of experience and a strong skill set. With a minimum of 5-8 years in Category Management and Insights generation, you have honed your ability to develop strategies and make data-driven decisions across various commercial functions. Relevant Business Degree with a Sales, Marketing or Business management specialisation. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Category Management. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Insights generation (diagnostic analytics) of sales & consumer data. Experience in data management with vendor experience of Nielsen, IRI/Circana or DataOrbis. Proven success in commercial-focused environment. Advanced communication skills (written, oral and listening). Excellent interpersonal skills.
