Head of Partnerships (Subscriptions) - Johannesburg

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with key players in relevant industries to drive subscriber growth and enhance product offerings.

  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring mutual value creation and alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, product, and finance teams to align partnership strategies with overall business goals.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential partners that align with the company's vision and subscriber needs.

  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet or exceed objectives.

  • Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation of partnership terms and contracts, ensuring favorable terms that comply with legal requirements and company policies.

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing partnerships team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership, business development, or a similar role, with a focus on subscription-based models.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing partnership strategies that have significantly contributed to business growth.

  • Extensive experience in negotiating and managing contracts and agreements.

  • Strong understanding of the digital subscription market and its key players.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
