Our client has a big solar/substation project in Upington and is looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Officer in SS(Storage System) and PV(Photovoltaic) to start in June 2024.

Salary: Market related

Closing date: Interviews will be scheduled before June 2024

Employment Type: Contract work

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.
Provide support to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
Assist in investigating incidents and accidents, and recommend preventive measures.
Promote awareness of safety practices and encourage employee participation.

Requirements:

HSE Officer Experience: Minimum of 6 years in HSE ( SS & PV) Officer, with a proven track record of successful managing solar/ renewable energy projects and substation projects from conception to completion.
Professional registration in HSE.
