Health Safety Environment Co-ordinator (HSE)
Port Elizabeth – Eastern Cape
Our client in the automotive manufacturing industry require an experienced HSE to cover their plants in Port Elizabeth. To implement, maintain and improve Health, Safety and Environmental systems; processes and procedures to comply with local and international standards in order to minimise the level of accidents, incidents and to mitigate risk to the production environment.
Responsibilities include;
Maintenance and implementation of HSEE policies and procedures
Drive and co-ordinate “Total Safety Culture”
Implementation and maintain ISO14001 and OHSA 18001
Internal HSEE audits (conduct, track, manage)
Co-ordination and Management of HSEE Committee Meetings
Facilitating statutory appointments
HSEE Inductions (new employees and contractors)
Implement and facilitate emergency preparedness procedures
Management and support for IOD’s
Requirements;
Matric (NQF 4)
Qualification: Health and Safety related
NEBOSH / SAMTRAC (Advantageous)
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Standards (ISO14001/OHSA 18001)
5 years’ experience in Health and Safety in an automotive environment
Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
