My client is seeking a Legal Advisor to provide expert legal support and guidance for their dynamic company. This role will involve managing diverse legal matters, ensuring compliance with local and international laws, and mitigating legal risks. Key Responsibilities: Legal Advisory: Offer expert advice on commercial contracts, employment law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to protect company interests. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to local, regional, and international laws. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage legal risks; develop strategies to mitigate potential issues. Dispute Resolution: Oversee litigation, arbitration, and other dispute processes; liaise with external counsel. Corporate Governance: Support the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures. Training and Development: Conduct and develop legal training for employees. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate legal records and documentation. Supplier Management: Handle legal aspects of supplier relationships and manage onboarding processes. External Law Firm Management: Oversee engagement and performance of external legal counsel. IP Asset Management: Manage company IP assets, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Legal Research and Opinions: Conduct legal research and provide opinions as needed. Labour and Disciplinary Support: Provide guidance on employment issues and support HR in handling disciplinary actions. Requirements: Bachelor of Laws (LLB), BCom Law, BA Law, or equivalent. 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE). Admitted attorney of the High Court. Valid passport and driver's license.
