Position Overview: The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall appearance of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas. This role is vital in maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment for hotel guests, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service. Key Responsibilities: Guest Room Cleaning : Clean, dust, and polish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms. Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and toiletries. Vacuum and clean carpets, draperies, and upholstery. Clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors. Public Area Maintenance : Maintain cleanliness of hallways, stairways, and elevators. Clean public restrooms and replenish supplies as needed. Dust and polish public area furniture and fixtures. Stocking and Supplies : Restock room amenities such as toiletries, coffee, and tea. Replenish housekeeping carts with supplies and linens. Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment. Laundry Duties : Collect and transport dirty linens to the laundry area. Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and towels. Guest Interaction : Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Respond to guest requests for additional amenities or services promptly. Report any guest concerns or complaints to the housekeeping manager. Safety and Sanitation : Follow hotel policies and procedures regarding health and safety. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department. Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and used safely. General Duties : Assist with deep cleaning projects as required. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Experience : Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Skills : Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks. Physical Requirements : Ability to lift and move heavy objects Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and kneel. Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Work Environment: Fast-paced, dynamic environment. Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. MR - MR - Hourly
