Phakisa Holdings is currently seeking a HR Officer for Potchefstroom. To manage the overall day to day operations of the Human Resources department and direct and co-ordinate all human resource activities. ENSURE ALL VACANT POSITIONS ARE FILLED TIMEOUSLY Ensure suitable candidates are available for interviews Ensure effective screening of short list applicants according to company policies and procedures (e.g. Employment Equity) Ensure clearance and necessary referencing of all candidates Ensure Employment Contracts, Job Descriptions and induction take place for all new staff COMPILE RELEVANT STAFF TURNOVER REPORTS Obtain staff turnover reports Analyse relevant reports PROVIDE ONGOING GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT Ensure all managers are equipped to deal with IR issues Assist with compliance to IR legislation Provide day to day advice in terms of risk and compliance Prepare internal and external disciplinary matters Provide guidance and support to all performance management/ incapacity processes Ensure consistency in terms of sanctions given DOCUMENT AND TRACK INTERNAL INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS Monthly report of all IR issues Record all disciplinary actions that occur Keep track of appeals that may be lodged as external disputes Ensure the correct administration for the sanction is completed (e.g. payments, blacklisting etc. REPRESENT THE COMPANY AT EXTERNAL INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS DISPUTES Ensure that all referrals are tracked and that company attends all conciliations/arbitrations Discuss pending cases to determine whether external representation is required, and that the appropriate level of services are retained BIOMETRIC CLOCKING Manage the biometric clocking system Ensure all reports are distribute daily SALARIES Manage the salary process Collate all documentation Distribute payslips Resolve all queries Ensure all Invoices/Statements are sent to client TERMINATIONS Ensure exit interviews are conducted Ensure all relevant documentation are completed Run relevant reports and analyse POLICIES AND PROCEDURES Formulate and recommend Human Resource policies Develop procedures to help align the workforce with the goals of the company Conduct continuing study of HR policies and practices to keep management informed of new developments HUMAN RESOURCES INFORMATION SYSTEMS Manage employee records Maintain the HUB Utilise the HUB to eliminate administrative tasks REPORTS Run monthly IR reports Run monthly HR reports Run monthly salary/wage reports Run and manage all leave reports Prepare Quarterly Management Presentations Three year relevant tertiary qualification coupled with previous experience in Human Resources function Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels Good understanding of current labour legislation with previous hands on IR experience, including external dispute resolution processes Strong ability to co-ordinate and prioritise time requirements and work loads Initiative coupled with an ability to run with projects on their own High energy levels Excellent computer skills Excellent attention to detail R10,000.00 - R12,000 Per Month
