Namlog seeks experienced individual to lead, direct and manage inbound and/or outbound site operations to ensure consistent high level service quality and customer satisfaction, profitable, cost-efficient operations, and compliance with company policies and procedures and other regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following: Manage, coordinate order cycle times, and prioritize shipments and allocations of raw materials and packaging among co-packing facilities. Oversee ocean freights, shipments, and communication with 3rd party logistic companies to assure timely deliveries to warehouses Responsible for transportation analysis, network optimization opportunities with key customers, and subsequent cost savings analysis and implementation strategies Monitor scheduled pickups by distributors, communicates deviations and resolves issues with clients regarding logistics and active shipments Track multiple issues to successful resolution. Provide timely responses to questions from clients regarding logistics and active shipments and returns. Review on-time and delayed international inbound shipments and expedite as required Troubleshoot and resolve customs delays. Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems. Manage transition toward deliveries to customers. Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, or training or safety record. Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules and adjust accordingly to ensure adequate staffing levels that support operational demands and business objectives. Ensure directives, rules and procedures are communicated to all operations' staff. Ensure safety methods, practices and programs are implemented and maintained. Ensure that freight is being moved in a safe and timely manner utilizing appropriate equipment and tools. Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment by inspecting and scheduling maintenance and ensuring that all office and warehouse equipment is properly accounted for and in safe working condition. Utilize superior communications skills to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers, executives, and clients. Manage and oversee administrative functions to ensure all paperwork is processed efficiently and in a timely manner and meets all compliance requirements. Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within department. Address all employee performance problems /misconduct promptly and directly in accordance with company personnel policies and procedures. Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations. Recommend best practices and continuous improvement to current logistics process. Ensure that Business Unit adhere to prescribed Regulatory Stipulations such as OHS, Safety and Security, Namlog policies and procedure. Management and Maintenance of Safety and Security of all Cargo, Equipment and Employees. Access and Egress Control. Adhere to PPE requirements of Employees. Identify and be aware of potential risks that may affect normal operations. Accountable for management of customer/supplier service level agreements. Management of statutory requirements and relationships with state, semi state and privatized businesses that may have an impact on Namlog. Maintaining open and frequent channels of communication with other branched / divisions within Namlog within your sphere of responsibility. Management of employees reporting to him/her. Managing employees' expectations in respect of discipline and motivation. Managing operational processes and ensuring all employees have access to policies and procedures of Namlog. Ensure employees adhere to code of conduct and disciplinary processes and procedures. Initiation or chairing of a hearing when required. Human resources i.e., Leave, Overtime, Attendance, Discipline Accountable for overall administration functions of this division such as daily KPI reports, submission of overtime schedules, and discrepancy reports. Manage overall expenses to the company and ensuring cost saving. Manage and ensure that employees training is done at the right time and that the necessary training has been done whether mandatory or soft skills. Grade 12 Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics and transportation Experience with freight and critical delivery situations a plus Minimum five years related experience. Minimum four years industry experience preferred. Minimum three years supervisory experience required You need to be in your current permanent role for a minimum of 12 months Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Make customers and their needs a primary focus of one's actions; develops and sustains productive relationships. Analyses complex problems and develops alternative solutions. Demonstrated leadership skills in influencing departments and implementing and managing change. Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities. Develops and uses collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals; develops individual relationships by listening, sharing ideas, and appreciating others' efforts. Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization. Availability and willingness to assist outside of normal working hours. Valid driver's licence and with own transport.
