Human Resource & Operations Strategist to lead our Human Resources department, ensuring legal compliance and the implementation of advanced HR practices. The role includes managing our Temporary Employment Services (TES) Division, overseeing strategic recruitment, and leveraging HRM & Industrial Relations expertise within the Training & youth employment landscape. The ideal candidate will offer exemplary leadership to enhance our service delivery and program execution. Sound knowledge of applicable Labour Law and HR legislation. • Expertise in HR Best Practices and HR Systems, Policies, and Procedures. (includes TES (HRM) & HRD – Skills Development) • Understanding of Risk Management and Business Management Principles. • Knowledge of Financial Principles. • Subject matter expert on – Human Resource Management systems (Policies, Procedures, and Processes, creating/implementing a QMS, Streamline Disciplinary procedures, train/uplift junior HR administrators. • Project Management & Project reporting expertise. Key Performance Areas: Temporary Employment Services (TES) Management: • Lead and develop the TES division team, ensuring performance and growth. • Maintain and enhance client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and meeting staffing needs. • Oversee recruitment, screening, and placement of temporary staff. • Ensure compliance with employment laws and adapt to legislative changes. • Manage daily Operations, including efficient process implementation.(improve & enforce company SOP's) • Collaborate on the division's financial activities, including budgeting and payroll for company Finance Director. • Oversee the QMS effectiveness and relevancy as part of employment initiatives and TES implementation, contributing to the company's HRM & HRD strategy (as well as their client requirements). • Build and maintain a candidate database for future employment and placement to clients. (Management of this function) • Identify organisational skill gaps and recommend training needs to enhance employee capabilities. (specifically, HR administrators & supervisors). • Implement quality assurance measures and continuous service improvement. • Coordinate interviews upon client's request. • Participate in the development of recruitment processes and systems in collaboration with the Management and Operations team. • Coordinate employee onboarding sessions with clients. Creation and implementation of Company HR Strategy: (HRM & HRD) • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop the Divisional Strategy. • Contribute, create, expand, and implement Group HR policies, procedures, and business processes, ensuring alignment with best practices. • Identify and manage HR risks, developing & implementing risk mitigation plans. • Stay updated on HR legislation changes and best practices to enhance HR function effectiveness and efficiency. • Produce regular structured reports on HR performance within the business line. • Support the Board of Directors in implementing change initiatives to embed necessary HR changes. (Specifically surrounding our ‘Company & Culture'.) • Create / Provide / Facilitate necessary HR administrative training for relevant staff members. • Monitor and evaluate employee performance & training intervention impact (HRD & Employability), ensuring alignment with Codes of good practice and LRA. • Develop and execute L&D management strategies alongside the COO, aligned with company goals and the relevant Acts. • Monitor, evaluate/review and enforce policies, procedures and processes under the temporary employment services (specifically disciplinary & administrative procedures) and improve where necessary. • Facilitate Employment Equity compliance. Performance Management: • Establish and oversee the Performance Management System (PMS) within the business line. • Develop and monitor Personal Development Plans (PDPs) within the group of companies. • Ensure compliance with Performance Management Policy and Procedures. • Train staff on the PMS and provide guidance to the HR Team. • Maintain accurate records of assessments and evaluations. • Contribute to annual performance rewards and provide recommendations. • Manage and maintain TES client HR systems & Disciplinary Procedures. Staff Management • Manage, monitor, and streamline the current recruitment strategy and improve current system processing where necessary, in consultation with the Board of Directors. • Develop and implement performance measurement structures, KPIs and employee retention incentives for subordinates and conduct performance reviews. (Include poor performance procedures and address it accordingly). • Establish and implement Employee Succession Plans and Team Retention Strategies. • Manage & oversee discipline (all relevant IR matters included) and workplace conflict coordination, and improve current processes (alongside clients and applicable IR consultants) to mitigate risk and strengthen procedure execution. (Improve turnaround time on current processes) Degree in Human Resources Management. (or other industry-relevant degrees) • Postgraduate / Honours Degree in Human Resource Management (and other) will be ideal. • Registration with a Human Resource professional body is advantageous. • 5-8 years experience in human resource management, with at least 3 years in a management capacity. • Experience in Temporary Employment Services. • Experience within a Learning & Development Environment would be advantageous. • Valid Driver's License (willingness to travel for work related tasks) • English speaking R 450 000 NEG Provid share / shares Apply Now
