The successful candidate will be responsible for: Overall strategic management of the Human Resource function within the Company. This includes policy development (where applicable) and implementation of relevant policies and procedures, management of all other human resource management processes from recruitment to employment termination, including benefits and leave and accurate and complete maintenance of all human resource records. You will report to the MD. Job Description The main tasks and responsibilities associated with the position are listed below. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties and that other duties that could be reasonably expected from a person in this position would/could also be required: Management of the full spectrum of Human Resources Management practices and specifically the development (where necessary), implementation and maintenance of Human Resource strategies, policies and procedures to improve the Company's effectiveness and efficiency. Management of all Human Resource processes, including without limitation recruitment, employment, employment terminations, leave and other benefits, training, grievance handling and performance management. Submission of all relevant internal reports on Human Resources. Preparation and processing of the monthly payroll (using VIP payroll software) and the generation of monthly and semi-annual and annual payroll reports (including IRP5s and IT3s), together with the submission of relevant reports to the Finance department. Preparation and submission of all Mandatory/Statutory reports: WSP, Employment Equity Report, Quarterly Employment Statistics to Stats SA as well as ROE submissions. Develop and manage Induction training for new employees. Assist management in the identification of employee training requirements and arranging for the required training including identifying training institutions and obtaining quotations from such. Assist the Legal and Compliance Officer in disciplinary matters and CCMA proceedings. Preparation and submission of all statutory returns including Payroll Returns in respect of PAYE, UIF, SDL, medical aid, and annual returns in respect of the Workplace Skills Plan, the Annual Training Report, the Quarterly Employment Stats reporting, the Employment Equity Report as well as Return of Earnings submission. Processing of the monthly payroll (using VIP payroll software) and the generation of monthly and semi-annual and annual payroll reports (including IRP5s and IT3s), together with the submission of relevant reports to the Finance department as well as SARS and the UIF. Interfacing with employees and external parties on the following administrative functions: Vehicle insurance, license disks, tracking companies for fleet card users, and company owned vehicles Fleet card and credit card management functions. Arranging compassionate gifts Reporting on staff-related matters such as illness, psychological conditions, overtime etc. Managing company-owned cell phones, limits, deductions etc. Ad hoc duties, which include membership of the Employment Equity Forum/Committee and Occupational Health and Safety Committee Management of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Certification process on an annual basis. Qualifications and experience required: Matric. Tertiary Qualification in Human Resource Management –preferably a bachelor's degree. 5 years post qualification experience in human resource management. 5 years experience in a senior human resource management position in a company/organisation. Computer literacy levels required: Microsoft Word – Advanced Skills Microsoft Excel – Advanced Skills Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Teams VIP payroll – minimum 5 Years experience essential/prerequisite. Minimum requirements Appropriate tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management and a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience. Highly proficient in the full spectrum of Human Resources Management practices and specifically the development, implementation and maintenance of Human Resource strategies, policies and procedures. Well-versed and capable in Human Resource administration and recordkeeping. In-depth knowledge of relevant Labour legislation and its practical application in the workplace. Proven leadership and managerial skills. Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills to ensure sound employer and employee relationships. Effective communication with management, professional liaison with service providers, specialists, and statutory and regulatory bodies/agencies, e.g. recruitment agencies, consultants, software suppliers and government departments etc. Computer literacy at an advanced level using MS Office. Excellent working knowledge of VIP payroll software - a minimum of 5 years' experience. Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans) with strong verbal and written communication skills.
