- Inspect, maintain, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems such as cylinders, valves, pumps, accumulators, and filters.
- Assemble power packs and manufacture spare parts for machinery.
- Bend hydraulic steel piping and crimp fittings onto steel piping and flexible hoses.
- Service valves, cylinders, pumps, accumulators, and filters.
- Collaborate in team efforts to build and assemble machinery.
- Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and install new hydraulic systems.
- Upgrade existing hydraulic systems and conduct performance tests.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and incorporate best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum N2/N3 qualification with a trade qualification in fitter and turner or similar discipline.
Experience:
- 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance and repair.
Skills and Competencies:
- Comprehensive understanding of hydraulic and preferably pneumatic systems.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and procedures.
