This will include actively monitoring markets and instruments, managing broker relationships, preparing financial reports and communicating effectively with various departments. The Deal Implementation Officer requires a confident and self-motivated individual who passionate about financial markets and has a strong ability to work under pressure. Key qualifications and experience required for the Deal Implementation Officer: Honours Degree in Investment Finance and/or Accountancy Qualified JSE Trader 3 - 5 years post qualification experience Advanced Microsoft (Excel, Word) and Programming skills (Bloomberg, Inet, Reuters Terminal Services) Understanding of the legislation and regulations governing the Financial Services Industry Key duties of the Deal Implementation Officer: Monitor both Global and South African investment markets Ensure compliance with legislation, mandates, and internal trading rules Manage daily cash across all portfolios including all investment and disinvestment requests Provide substantive feedback in daily morning meetings chaired by senior members of the investment team Make detailed recommendations on each resolution and/or corporate action proposed Generate your own investment ideas based on analysis and due diligence Prepare and submit technical reports to the Investment Committee with your recommendations Key personal skills: Demonstrates integrity and professionalism Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Thrives in highly automated environments Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines Possesses a results-driven mindset and showcases technical expertise Displays intelligence and adaptability in tackling challenges Strong analytical abilities If you are an ambitious and innovative finance professional, looking to join a high performing team in a role that involves diverse investment responsibilities, we encourage you to get in touch for a discussion about this position.
