The ideal candidate will design, develop, integrate, and qualify products and systems from the concept stage and specification, to qualification, integration and production support as well as : Industrialize old products to improve costs. Industrial Design Improve design on current products to reduce manufacture costs Design and develop new products Test/ qualify products against international standards Development of production and test equipment including documentation packs for China and local Production Investigation and fault finding on current/new designs Has a fresh viewpoint to any problem that presents itself Understands manufacturing processes and which process is suited for specific parts Draw up new product design and qualification specification Research Research new product technology, components, solutions Product Development & Deployment Meet with R&D manager and Product manager to ascertain the following Timescales Product Design Product and document configuration Product Budgets New product tooling - Part design / verifications / project management (Supplier follow ups) Remains positive even when something does not turn out as expected; and keeps trying until the outcome is achieved New and current products are made according to requirements Demonstrates good listening skills and always pays attention when other people express their ideas Liaise with Chinese suppliers Administration and Reporting General correspondence and administration completed accurately and timeously. Email, inbox, and data managed timeously and effectively. Professional image maintained in all communication. All reporting and feedback requirements met, and reports completed accurately and timeously, according to company requirements. Drafting, maintaining, and ensuring adherence to departmental processes and standard operating procedures. Supply statistics and information as requested. We welcome and immerse ourselves in different world cultures since this is key to achieving our Vision Qualifications and expereince B Eng (Mechanical) - Required 2 years ' experience in the following: Conceptualization and problem solving of various design criteria Proficiency in SolidWorks, Full Adobe Creative Cloud (Advantageous), and Microsoft Office (Compulsory) Proficiency with simulation software – mechanical and thermal Sketching, concept drawing, 3D presentation/rendering, technical drawing Design experience in plastic fabrication, other manufacturing processes such as sheet-metal, injection molding, extrusion, vacuum forming as well as printing Producing efficient designs within the framework of simplicity, feasibility, cost efficiency and accuracy Compiling assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings in accordance with acknowledged manufacturing standards Compiling Part Specifications, Bills of Materials, Engineering Changes, Configuration changes, Work Instructions and User Manuals Issuing revisions and updates to the manufacturing drawings and material lists Interfacing with customers, analysing and interpreting their requirements and producing requirement specifications (Advantageous) Providing technical support during manufacturing processes The following additional experience will be highly advantageous Basic Electrical / Electronic knowledge and experience Hands-on experience installing electronic / IT / M2M / IOT system
