A well-established organisation is looking for an Information Technology Audit Specialist. The main purpose of the role is to facilitate the IT audit and provide comprehensive methods to enhance the efficiency of internal audits. As well as, to provide a mitigating methodology to ensure data security. Your key responsibilities will include, but is not limited to: Strategic IT Audit Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Head of Control: Internal Audit (HOC) to craft comprehensive audit plans tailored to mitigate IT risks effectively. Execute audits meticulously, adhering to established methodologies, and conduct thorough assessments of IT controls to safeguard organizational assets. Data Analytics Integration: Integration advanced data analytics into audit processes, in order to provide an enhance and efficiency from the IT audits. Team Empowerment and Culture Development: Provide mentorship and guidance to the internal audit and forensic team, cultivating a culture of awareness and proficiency in IT-related risks and controls. Foster a collaborative environment that embraces technological advancements, ensuring continuous professional development and high-performance standards. IT Controls and Compliance: Evaluate and test IT controls rigorously, including IT General Controls and Application Control testing, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry norms. Deliver strategic recommendations for enhancing IT controls and security measures, aligning with organizational goals and risk appetite. Provide Audit Reporting: Manage the dissemination of audit findings and recommendations efficiently, facilitating clear communication and alignment among stakeholders. Data Security Assessment and Enhancement: Assess the effectiveness of data security measures comprehensively, encompassing data encryption, access controls, and data classification. Provide achievable recommendations to secure data security strength and mitigate potential vulnerabilities. Continuous Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to leverage technology within the audit process, optimizing reporting mechanisms and fostering data-driven decision-making. Stay abreast of emerging IT risks, data analytics trends, and technological advancements, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Training and Development Initiatives: Develop tailored training programs to enhance technical competencies, particularly in the realms of IT audit and data analytics. Cultivate a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous learning within the team, enriching collective expertise and fostering a culture of excellence. Key Competencies IT Controls Expertise Data Analytics Proficiency Analytical Skills Regulatory Compliance Leadership Requirements: BCom IT / BSc IT degree or equivalent IT audit certification (CISA, CISM, COBIT, etc.) Relevant IT certifications (e.g. ITIL, CISCO, Cloud Computing Platforms, etc.) Minimum 5 years proven experience in IT audits and incorporating data analysis in the audit process.
