Our client is a Large International Law Firm based in Sandton. As part of their continuous growth, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated In-House Legal Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. Accountable for providing full-function legal advice to the firm on a variety of complicated internal issues, and for supporting the firms Risk Management and Compliance strategy. Develop, draft, and drive implementation, maintenance and monitoring of firm-wide policies, procedures and manuals. Provide day-to-day legal advice to the firm, and input into the development of an effective risk management and governance framework. Provide a diagnostic and advisory service to the firm, individual fee earners and non-legal support staff on a variety of issues as these pertain to the firms contracting and procurement, insurance matters, specific regulations, conflicts, claims, complaints, professional ethics and the code of conduct. Support in the proactive establishment, maintenance and communication of ethical management policies, practices and controls in accordance with the firms' fiduciary duties and risk management controls to mitigate against malpractice claims and loss. Admitted Attorney. Post graduate Diploma and Professional Registration / NQF level 8 (e.g Management Sciences or related field). 3-5 years PQE. Must have large firm experience or articles and exposure to international law firm practices would be beneficial. A background in a similar professional services environment would also be considered. Legal, Risk and Compliance experience in a law firm. Registered with the Legal Practice Council. Market Related
