Description Instrumentation Technician Our client in the textile industry is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to join the team in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha. Responsibilities The electronic / electrical repair and maintenance of commercial scientific test equipment Ensure that the test equipment conforms to the relevant technical requirements. Calibration and validation of specialised equipment Assist in the development of new equipment and the upgrading of existing equipment. Contribute to the technical management of the laboratory to ensure the maximum efficiency of equipment and provision of services to clients. Comply with ISO17025 accreditation standards in accordance with procedures laid down in the company's Quality Management System Minimum Requirements National Diploma in Electronic Engineering or equivalent Experience in the textile industry will be highly advantageous. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the maintenance, repair, set up and calibration of a range of scientific technical apparatus. Excellent fault-finding skills. Proficiency in Excel CAD experience advantageous PLC Programming and automation experience is essential. IOT experience advantageous.
