Minimum requirements:

Law degree from reputable university
Admitted attorney in South Africa in good standing with the LPC
Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law
3 years of relevant experience in a midlevel role
Running with matters without undue oversight, but always with the support of other members of the
department
Generally attending competently and successfully to all aspects of IP dispute work, including:
Drafting of letters of demand
Filing and management of South African trade mark oppositions; and handling foreign dispute matters with correspondent attorneys
Attending to advisory work in relation to trade marks, copyright, domain names, company name
objections, and watching services generally
Writing blog posts
Drafting and review of IP-related agreements
