Corrocoat SA is a leading international corrosion protection contractor, specialising in the internal lining of process equipment such as tanks, pipelines, pumps, valves etc. Corrocoat SA Benoni branch is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HSE Intern to join the team, assist, and support the HSE Department in all areas of concern as directed by the HSE Manager. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in the field of health and safety within a dynamic and supportive environment. Main Responsibilities Assist to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation; Assisting with safety inspections, and risk assessment; Accident investigation: OHS/EMS reporting, monitoring and initiating actions to ensure adherence to compliance obligations Maintaining relevant OHS register and documentation Compiling of safety files; Assist with filling out documentation; Assist in the booking of induction and pre-employment medical Conduct OHS Committee meetings Assisting the HSE responsible for Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management Operations Facilitating HSE Training Courses Assist with Internal and External Audits Ability to Travel and Work On-Site Key Skills and Competencies Strong attention to detail A high level of commitment is required Able to work under pressure and unsupervised Must have good communication and people skills Desired Skills Communication Health and Safety Compliance ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) Matric A recognised safety qualification (Diploma in Safety Management, SAMTRAC, SHEMTRAC, etc.) SACPCMP registration as a Candidate Health and Safety or officer Understanding of ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong commitment to meet deadlines Computer Literacy: MS Office: (Word, Excel,) Market related
