Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including raw materials, finished products, and supplies. Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to avoid stockouts. Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies. Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and optimize storage space utilization. 2. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with production, purchasing, and other relevant departments to fulfil material requisitions in a timely manner. Arrange transportation and logistics for incoming and outgoing materials. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling procedures during material handling and transportation activities. 3. Storage Organization: Develop and maintain an organized storage system to facilitate efficient retrieval and storage of materials. Optimize storage layouts to maximize space utilization and accessibility. Implement proper labelling and signage for easy identification of stored items. 4. Team Management: Supervise and train store staff to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities. Delegate tasks and monitor performance to ensure productivity and quality standards are met. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement. 5. Supplier Relations: Communicate regularly with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues or discrepancies. Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to the purchasing department for vendor management purposes. 6. Budget Management: Assist in the development of the departmental budget and manage expenses within approved budgetary limits. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize departmental spending. 7. Stock Management Receiving of stock: Receive stock material and check stock if accordance with the delivery note/ tax invoice Validates PO accordance with delivery note/tax invoice Contact/ communicate with buyer with any discrepancies Capture PO on Sage System Oversupply: create a shipping memo /or gate release that needs to be signed off by the supplier and storeman All stock must be binned in the correct areas File all goods receiving note, delivery note, tax invoice Send tax invoices to financial administrator for verification of payment Only received after hours deliveries on prior arrangements and approval Binning of stock: Stock must be binned within 24 hours after receipt All spare part to be checked against existing ones before binned Isolated spares to placed in holding or quarantine section All non-conformance material must be given to the Store Manager. Issuing of stock & raw material: Runs validation on requisition form Check if items are available in stores Obtain stock items and print goods issue note Capture data of issuing File all goods issue note, manual requisition with signatures Stock Returns: All unused items must be returned to the store the latest on the 27th of each month All defective spares must be sent to the engineering stores for repairs Arrange with supplier for collection on spares repair Prepare shipping memo or gate release Scrap Disposal: All trucks must pass through the weighbridge registration process & final weight process Complete all required documentation relation to material, gate release i.e. Check all disposal scarp and verify with goods to be collected Matric Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field advantageous Proven experience in stores management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices Excellent organizational and time-management skills Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate operational requirements Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to material handling and storage Thoroughness and reliability Keen attention to detail and accuracy
