Our client, in the Environmental / Construction Industry, requires the services of an experienced Irrigation Technician to join their team. Key performance areas: Responsible for the installation, servicing and assessing irrigation equipment on various sites and projects. Differentiate different pipe sizes and grades of pipe Will work on pressurised main lines – HTPE or PVC Basic understanding of pumps Configuration of Hunter and Rainbird automatised controller systems Demonstrated background in working off irrigation plans and ability to implement plans Maintenance and fault finding of irrigation fault systems The successful candidate must have: Matric with a relevant qualification At least 3 years relevant working experience in a similar position SABI or LIA qualification would be advantageous Computer literate – (Word, Excel and Outlook) Must have an understanding of pumps and 24VAC irrigation wiring connections Must be able to work in a fast paced, highly pressurised environment Must be self-motivated and have excellent time management skills Must be willing to travel Must have a valid driver's license Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted.
