To ensure that the IT users (Marley SA) computer equipment and IT infrastructure/network perform at required levels at all times in the area of responsibility. To constantly train users on new systems or software applications To provide support to users. Provide 2 nd level network support This position is based in Olifantsfontein and the incubant is expected to travel Operational Tasks: Ensuring that end users have access to the system documentation. Ensuring that adequate backups for systems are performed (so that we can recover the system after a disaster). Managing software licenses for systems. Managing service level agreements with third party service providers. Analysing and assessing the opportunities and risks of investments in systems and process change and maintaining an investment plan to feed into the annual budgeting process. Ensuring the cohesion of overall business process and systems architecture models in line with overall organisational strategy and goals. Developing, with the business clients, robust and complete business cases and project briefs for process and systems improvements. Leading the analysis and project, including external resources, to deliver assessments and choices for solving business problem or responding to opportunities. Overseeing the business projects and support to ensure delivery is on time and within budget. Evaluating the actual performance of systems and process investments and promoting approaches for maximising returns from these investments. Each IT System Owner of the infrastructural environment where application systems are executed, the custodian of data and is responsible to provide and operate systems, hardware, software and office equipment and the control of related Capex to ensure: In terms of the Operational Environment: through provision of service management, computer processing infrastructure, To provide technical support on client specific software and hardware. To maintain / repair equipment, including printers and scanners all technology Timely return of repaired equipment to site. To deploy and re-deploy existing equipment. To attend to the IT infrastructure according to standards set by the EXCO To comply with policies & procedures set by Marley South Africa. To assist in the testing of system functions affected by changes and updates/upgrades prior to implementation. To update, upgrade, support and administer the Anti-Virus Software and other software as directed by Network & Operations team. To set-up the required IT equipment for training. To provide first-level support for all systems and software applications Setting up of new equipment and upgrading existing systems Talking to users to establish details of faults Recording problems and their solutions for future reference To provide first level support for Local Area Network and Wide Area Network Helpdesk: (When implemented) Ensure all calls logged on Help Desk. To investigate and reply to queries from users. To resolve first level calls and only forward relevant first-level calls to appropriate second and third-level persons after investigation. To maintain the Helpdesk updated with all support actions taken and to be taken for each logged call until its successful completion. Valid Drivers Licence with own vehicle Be a South African Citizen Technical Knowledge Network: Wide Area • Solid knowledge of MPLS • Vlan configuration • DMZ's • Good understanding of vrf's • Good understanding of routing protocols. • Liaise with international suppliers (MPLS, VPN Tunelling) Cisco command line (3750, 1900, 881) Good understanding of Fortinet firewalls Local Area (TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, Print Servers) • Vlan configuration • Understanding of trunk and access ports • Configure switches for local deployment • Troubleshoot network performance issues on Cisco switches Cisco command line Solid understanding of VOIP and SIP Pabx configuration and deployment Fortivoice • Solid technical knowledge on Desktop IT equipment & Servers. (A) • Solid technical knowledge of Networks (N) • Good knowledge of IT infrastructure within the area. • Good understanding of VOIP • MCP will be a bonus Data Management • Preferable knowledge of SAP / Skynamo / My Business / B2Wise / WMS systems • Preferable knowledge of programming for the purpose of developing Basic Salary R31000.00 Fuel card Car Allowance R6000.00 This position is a temporary role Apply Now
