IT Technician - Midrand

Linkfields Innovations is Hiring we are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Technician to join our dynamic IT team and contribute to the success of our organization. Responsibilities: Provide technical support to end-users in person, over the phone, or through remote assistance. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including but not limited to desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure efficient operation of the organization's IT systems. Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades and deployments. Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, equipment, and software licenses. Keep abreast of technological advancements and recommend upgrades or improvements to existing systems. Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security and data protection policies. Create and update documentation for IT processes, procedures, and user guides. Provide training and support to end-users on IT-related topics. Qualifications: Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role. Associate's degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Computer Science). Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems. Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office suite. Familiarity with troubleshooting principles, remote support tools, and ticketing systems. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. A proactive approach to identifying and addressing IT issues. Certifications such as CompTIA A, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or similar, is a plus. Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.
