OBJECTIVE: maintain the computer and network systems of the company, including troubleshooting and diagnosing computer hardware and software issues, computer networks and assisting with IT-related problems remotely or via a site visit. REGION: Centurion Head Office SUMMARY OF DUTIES (not limited to): Ensure that technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software. Ability to install, administer, maintain and troubleshoot all hardware, software and network operating systems. Operational tasks e.g. analyzing and diagnosing of computer hardware, software and network problems. Installation, replacement and testing of new and repaired hardware. Visiting outlets as required for any IT related tasks. Managing and solving any and all IT related tasks in production areas, e.g. scales, tagging equipment, computers, networks, etc. Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance. Maintenance of a knowledge base of proceudres and solutions to commonly reported faults. Connection and setup of hardware and maintenance thereof. Loading of all required software and the maintenance thereof; ensuring software licensing compliance. To provide a development service to install, setup and configure new IT equipment for users such as computers, printers, scales, scanners, etc. Setup and installation of DVR and CCTV cameras at outlets, production factory and where required. Assisting with the installation and administering of VOIP equipment and systems. Monitor security of all technology and maintaining the appropriate level of security. Provide remote access support by taking of the user's computer remotely or by visiting the user's premises. Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources, improvements, best practices, etc. Research current and potential resources and services. Handle confidential information in accordance with current policies and procedures. All other IT related duties and issues. REQUIREMENTS: Gr. 12 Relevant qualification from reputable institution. 3 years relevant and proven work experience. Good time management skills. Valid driver's license. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Trustworthy, dynamic, intuitive. Attention to detail, problem solving skills, committed.
