Reference: JHB000483-AT-1 Well established packaging company based in Cape Town is looking for a Junior Automation Technician to join their team. Requirements: Minimum N4 electrical/Millwright qualification. Experience in Hydraulics & Pneumatics. (advantageous) Production or FMCG experience. (advantageous) An ability to communicate effectively and transparently. An ability to identify and solve problems effectively. An ability to think issues through in a logical, systematic way. A passion for Automation A passion for Quality. Ability to work in a team. Self-disciplined and motivated. Own transport and driver's license is essential. Overtime and standby will be required from time to time. Responsibilities: Assisting the production department in achieving optimum efficiencies through timeously and efficiently attending to the electrical requirements of their machinery and auxiliary equipment during maintenance, repair and servicing. Assisting with completion of maintenance schedules and programs for each machine as per supplier recommendation. Assisting with troubleshooting / problem solving in the department as and when required. Staying abreast & assisting with the implementation of technical developments and improvements. To be on standby as and when required. Properly maintaining maintenance records as per ISO procedures. Consistently checking quality of products with Quality Control.
