This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge solar projects, from initial feasibility studies to the final commissioning of sophisticated solar systems. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Customer Load and Bill Analysis: Evaluate and analyze customer energy consumption and billing patterns. Solar System Sizing and Yield Assessment: Perform desktop analysis to determine optimal solar system sizes and potential energy yields. Information Gathering and Processing: Collect and process data relevant to solar projects. Lifecycle Cost Assessments: Conduct detailed Excel-based analyses to determine the total cost of ownership for solar systems. Solar and Hybrid System Designs: Create efficient designs for solar and hybrid energy systems. Solar Product and Technical Research: Research and evaluate solar products and technologies to ensure the best solutions are implemented. Knowledge of Local Standards and Legislation: Stay updated with local regulations and standards impacting solar installations. Embedded Generation Applications: Manage applications for embedded generation projects. Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the viability of proposed solar projects. Site Assessments: Perform on-site evaluations to gather data and assess project conditions. Drawing and Diagram Compilation: Create detailed drawings and line diagrams for project planning and execution. Bill of Quantity Generation: Prepare bills of quantities for project costing and procurement. Commissioning: Oversee the commissioning of Grid Tied, Hybrid, and Battery Backup solutions. Quality Control: Ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained during installations. Technical Support: Provide technical support to installation teams throughout the project installation phase. Requirements Solar System Design: Expertise in designing solar systems tailored to customer requirements. Electrical Drawing Interpretation: Ability to understand, interpret, and analyze complex electrical drawings. Safety and Legal Research: Proficient in researching safety procedures and understanding legal regulations and guidelines. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the role. Organizational Skills: Highly organized with keen attention to detail. Multitasking and Prioritization: Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines. Driver's License and Travel: Valid driver's license with a willingness to travel. Comfortable with Heights: Ability to work comfortably at heights. Software Proficiency: Proficient in Helioscope, PVSyst, and Microsoft Excel.
