Are you a qualified Draughtsman with a keen eye for meticulous detail and some experience in drawing heavy machinery, processing plants, or large mechanical equipment? If so, your next career move could be with us Our client, a large multinational market leader renowned for delivering top-quality products, is looking to expand their Engineering team with Junior Draughtsman. In this Role, you will create and maintain product specific designs and drawing information as well as the design of components, layouts and interfaces associated with product information, including concepts, basic and detailed designs (with the guidance and assistance from senior Daughtspeople and Engineers within your team) Key Tasks: Quality Management: Follow Engineering processes based on global best practices and relevant international standards. (ISO 9001, OHS Act, MHS Act of SA, IMS policies and procedures) Create drawings in accordance with SANS 10111-1. Drawing: Follow Drawing Office Procedures Create and maintain product specific design and drawing information according to relevant standards / procedures. Design Concept Layout and interface to product Component and system changes/ modifications/ improvements Basic Design for form, fit, function. Detail Create manufacturing drawings. Create QRL's Maintain drawing information. Use of Engineering Systems: BAAN CAD System Information Systems Drawing Register QRL Register General: Needs analysis Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Draughtsman Certificate or Diploma Excellent technical knowledge Mechanical knowledge and experience Knowledge and experience with CAD (at least college practical experience) Excellent presentation skills Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new ideas Good team-working skills Inter-personal skills A high level of computer literacy, particularly computer-aided design The ability to prioritize and plan effectively Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines - Self-motivated - Adaptability - Technical aptitude Own transport / valid driver's license R15 000 - R 20 000 CTC
