Engineering Manager needs a Proposals Manager to mangae and oversee the day to day responsibilities of the sales and proposals departments, while ensuring that company objectives are met according to sales targets. B.Eng. Mechanical Degree Essential. Must have original manufacturing industry experiencce. Managing and measuring of the quotation process and department Managing subordinates and departmental quality and performance by driving key KPI's i.e. quote lead time, accuracy and lexical quality of quotes Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives in the sales and proposals department Reviewing the accurate pricing of new and repair proposals for the full range of products Review of high value/important costings with engineering, procurement, and production managers Achieve maximum selling price/maximize contribution margin in consultation with senior management Reviewing of quotes and getting approval as per the DOA Preparing and presenting of reports regarding departmental performance Preparation of tenders and ensuring on time submission according to customer requirements Ensuring CRM system is being kept up to date by the proposals and sales department and that all relevant information is included as per the relevant procedure. Managing of the sales team, ensuring structured customer visits are taking place according to the company growth strategy and vision Following up on open opportunities with the sales team and our reseller and agent network and driving the budget targets of the various individuals and entities. Ensuring that the CRM system is being kept up to date by the sales team with regards to overdue opportunities, customer visits and booking opportunities against the correct growth initiative. Ensuring that forecasts and opportunities for agents and resellers are up to date by engaging with them and updating the CRM system accordingly Account and opportunity management on the CRM system according to area allocation. Ensuring the sales team provides up to date feedback on various projects and initiatives that the company is driving Contributing towards market development and growth Responsible for the training and development of subordinates Key customer's price list control/maintenance Proposals document control (update templates) Attend contract review and war room meetings including OEM meetings Attend meetings with customers and site visits when required Implementing procedures to improve the performance and quality of the departments and drive the performance of the team through key KPI's Ensure that all requirements in terms of compliance as stipulated by group are executed and adhered to Adherence to all company policies and procedures both from a local and group perspective Any other reasonable instruction given to you by management B.Eng Mechanical degree with relevant Technical Estimations experience.
