Attorneys in Cape Town require a Legal Legal Secretary . Maintain Partner(s) and/or Professionals' diary including the coordinating and liaising with relevant parties with regards to meetings and to prepare all documentation for appointments and travel Filing, organising, and maintaining documents Opening and closing of legal files in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures Organise and maintain legal files in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures Assist in handling legal administration requirements Assist in the preparation and processing of legal documents Print all correspondence, pleadings and documents and file same in physical/ hard copy files Ensure documents dispatched are accurate Liaise with messenger/ driver General office administration and management Dictation typing Follow up with clients regarding payments and keep a log of all client contact. Compile and submit weekly outstanding reports (payments from client and report to accounts department once a week) Ensure compliance with FICA Complete time sheets and capture time on CMS/Adarant Keeping track of attorney time records and billing Monthly invoicing in accordance with Firm's policies and procedures Grade 12 (Matric) Paralegal / Legal Secretarial qualification preferable Minimum of 5 years' experience as a legal secretary within a law firm Experience in a Maritime Department an advantage Familiarity with the following Software packages: Microsoft Office CMS / Adarant preferabl Billback Knowledge of basic numeracy and literacy skills Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems Knowledge of FICA Own transport essential Ability to work under pressure, and occasionally after hours Good market related salary commensurate with experience Good benefits Apply Now
