A lodge in is looking for a Manager with Lodge experiance to uplift the Lodge and also attend to the daily, weekly and Month running for the Lodge. Live-in accommodation; meals and laundry provided; drinks charged at staff price. Honest person with high sense of integrity Sense of ownership and pride in work Well groomed, good personal hygiene & presentable with a bubbly, friendly personality Strong work ethic, ability to work unsupervised, work flexible and extended hours Empathetic and compassionate personality Passionate about conservation in all aspects of wilderness areas Excellent interpersonal skills Self-motivation, enthusiasm, passion and energy Excellent decision maker Methodical work ethic with a high regard for attention to detail Flexible attitude and willing to take on tasks as necessary Sensitive to and understanding/tolerant of cultural differences Excellent organisational and administrative skills Realistic expectations of living in a remote area Work experience of at least 2 years in management roles in related lodge environments. Management experience in luxury lodge environment – and a diverse and intense property Focus on Guest experience delivery from kitchen (back of house) & bar and waitron departments (front of house) Accustomed to reporting systems – daily & weekly; presenting month end packs to Operations & Finance Depts Understanding of budget control and financial management and planning HR functions of the lodge Hands on staff management and staff disciplinary process Delicately manage community staff and drive the development/upliftment process of employment. Eye for detail excellent front office skills Experience and ability to train staff Benefit to have a love for the bush Hospitality Diploma or tertiary qualification in Management Computer Literate – Opera/SEMPER/IQ, Microsoft WORD, EXCEL/Microsoft Office, Email/Outlook English speaking, fluent in written and spoken English Zulu (Speak) – certainly a great benefit Driver's License valid PDP essential Valid First Aid Certification South African Citizen Physically fit, sober habits and in good health The basic salary is R18500 (Negotiable on experiance) and all company benefits to be discussed at interview
