Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate with clients & shippers and resolve any complaints or queries that arise
- Daily tasks and operations of planning & loading of shipping processes, receiving and creating packing lists
- Negotiate shipping fees
- Prepare sales reports
- Keep record of inbound and outbound shipment information
- Manage shipments
- Collaborate and communicate with packing technicians
- Organize and monitor distribution
- Excellent knowledge of import and export regulations and requirements
Education:
- Completed Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant tertiary finance qualification preferred
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- 3 to 4 years' experience within a shipping / logistics role essential
- Solid knowledge of import and export regulations and requirements essential
- Manufacturing industry knowledge will be advantageous
- Knowledge of SAP highly beneficial
- Experience working with electronic data, MS Excel & MS Word
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Deadline driven
