Our client in the Agricultural Industry, requires the services of a driven and well-organised Logistics Coordinator to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services from farms to tables. Key performance areas: Shipping Coordination : Daily ongoing checks on shipment schedule. Monitor order quantities and delivery times. Obtain shipping reports from the clearing agents. Obtain progress reports from the relevant suppliers. Ensure effective flow of communication between stakeholders and timeous communications of delays. Customs Clearance: Ensure commercial documentation is received timeously from suppliers and is accurate. Forward documentation to clearing agents. Update the shipment schedule with dates of documents received and sent to agents. Only enter invoice number on shipment schedule when accounts provide hard copy. Ensure original Phytosanitary certificates are received timeously and collected by the clearing agents. Record Phytosanitary certificates on the shipping schedule. Orders : Liaise with clients on when to replenish stock. Email confirmation of orders to clients. Create purchase orders. Update shipment schedules. Email purchase orders and spreadsheet. Obtain confirmation and upload orders. Compiling schedules for large orders. Delivery: Monitor vessel arrival and forward delivery notification to farms (Planned delivery dates on daily progress reports from Clearing Agents). Confirm delivery dates with clearing agents. Update the shipment schedule with delivery dates. Obtain proof of delivery from clearing agents or transportation providers. Liaise with transport providers to ensure on-time deliveries. Arrange local dispatches and deliveries with warehouses. Administration: Daily – Filing of all documentation in client and financial files. Closing off client orders when all supporting documents have been received. Updating all information on spreadsheets. The successful candidate must have: Matric with a B.Com Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field At least 3 – 5 years' experience within the Supply Chain Environment with a particular emphasis on Logistics At least 3 years shipping experience having dealt with Incoterms Agricultural industry experience with Import/Exports shipping experience would be advantageous Must be able to work with CargoWise, Sage and other required software Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team Must be self-motived and action-orientated Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted.
