Logistics Manager - Upington
Our client has a big solar/substation project in Upington and is looking for a Logistics Manager , to start in March 2024. Salary: Market related Closing date : Interviews will be scheduled before 2 February 2024 Employment Type : Contract work Requirements: Logistics Experience (Managerial level): Minimum of 10-15 years of experience with a minimum of 3 projects completed in Solar & Substation. Professional Registration and Qualification: in Logistics Duties will include but are not limited to: Planning and coordinating transportation of materials and equipment Managing inventory and storage of project resources Ensuring timely delivery of materials to the construction site Collaborating with suppliers, contractors, and shipping companies Optimizing supply chain efficiency to meet project timelines Implementing logistics strategies to minimize costs and delays Overseeing customs clearance and international shipping, if applicable Addressing logistics challenges and resolving issues promptly Monitoring and reporting on logistics activities throughout the project.
