Qualifications/Attributes/Competencies and Experience:
- Matric
- A minimum of 4 years experience in logistics and fleet management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Deadline driven and high-pressure tolerance
- Ability to solve problems
- Proactive disposition
- Performance driven
- Strategically plan and manage routes, transportation and customer service
- Oversee and monitor local fleet
- Keep track of delivery times, efficiency and transportation costs
- Resolve any arising problems and complaints and stock returns
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies
- Ensure you meet costs, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Allocate and manage the fleet staff and ensure all relevant documentation is updated
- Ensure maintenance of the fleet
- Interaction with distribution
- Housekeeping of the fleet, always clean and presentable
- Ensure compliance with transport laws and regulations
- Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of fuel cost, legislation and rising environmental pressures
- Monthly reporting
