This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to ensure the efficient and cost-effective management of the company's logistics process. · Develop and implement logistics strategies and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. · Manage and oversee daily operations of the logistics department, including 60 drivers and 15 Trucks · Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to transportation and logistics. · Routing of trucks, ensure orders are released and planned timeously. · Maintaining of trucks, licenses, break tests, calibration, safe load documents, trucks warranties and maintenance issues. · Investigations on incidents · Drafting staff schedules, Capturing and checking of Drivers time sheets and overtime. · Managing vehicle checklist and reporting problems · Managing insurance claims · Recruiting staff for the Department · Managing 4 supervisors · Monthly management of Km's travelled vs fuel usage etc. · Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management or a similar role. · Matric is essential whilst a tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field would be advantageous. · Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles and practices. · Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Must be able to work long hours, short notice, weekends, and public holidays. 30000 Apply Now
