Must be well-skilled with Mastercam.

Duties and requirements

Extensive knowledge of machining (turning, milling and wire cutting) and machine shop operations
Develop programs with Mastercam CADCAM software to control machining or processing
Prepares and sets the machines before production and perform test runs of the initial batches
Strong technical aptitude and understanding of related processes
Experience with safety regulations and procedures
Knowledge of quality control and inspection standards
Proficiency in computer-aided design CAD (Solidworks) software and CADCAM software (Mastercam)
Schedule machines and staff for maximum productivity
Coordinate all labour and materials in the machine shop
Identify and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality
Make recommendations on capital expenditures to improve capacity and quality
Monitor productivity, utilizing charts and software tools
