Responsibilities

Responsible for the Programming & Setting of CNC Machines with Fanuc controls the machines various from One Turn Mill Lathe, 2 Axis Lathes and 3 axis Milling machines.
Must be able to program on Mastercam 2022.
Working to fine tolerances (0,025mm) as per customers requirements
Reading and interpreting of engineering drawings
Take accurate measurements on Precision Measuring instruments and measure finished products according to customers drawings
Adjusting of programs to suit the drawing.

Preferred experience and characteristics

Matric or NQF equivalent qualification.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing and CNC Operations/Setting.
Advantageous: CAD / CAM Software experience with programming Skills
Proven experience as CNC lathe setter and operator
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
Good interpersonal and communication abilities
Competent using measuring equipment: micrometer, depth vernier, clock gauge, inside micrometer and telescopic gauge (will be tested on all of these in interview)
Ability to work independently
Ability to plan work on multiple machines to keep spindles turning
