We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Programmer/Operator to join our client in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes equipped with FANUC controllers or milling machines with Syntec controllers. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts.
Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize CNC programs for lathes with FANUC controllers or milling machines with Syntec controllers, ensuring efficient and accurate machining processes.
Set up CNC lathes and milling machines, including tooling, workholding, and material selection. Verify setups by measuring first-run parts.
Operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce parts according to specifications. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using precision measuring instruments. Maintain high standards of workmanship.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC lathes and milling machines to ensure they operate smoothly. Report any malfunctions or required repairs promptly.
Maintain accurate records of machining operations, including setup sheets, tool lists, and production logs.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Promote a culture of safety among team members.
Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer/Operator, specifically with lathes and FANUC controllers or milling machines with Syntec controllers.
Proficiency in CNC programming languages and software.
Strong understanding of FANUC and Syntec controller operations.
In-depth knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
