GENERAL PURPOSE: Manage and supervise maintenance and engineering activities to meet and surpass safely, environmental, quality and profitability goals. STRATEGIC FOCUS: Applies engineering and management techniques in order to improve plant availability, operating performance, improved product quality and plant efficiency, and reduce costs. Oversee's technical and management interface for proper execution of Capital projects through value engineering and MOC processes. KEY PEFORMANCE AREAS: Site responsible engineer in terms of the OHS Act. Establish, guide, direct and oversee the maintenance function aligned with overall strategy and objectives. Applies engineering techniques in order to improve plant availability, operating performance and higher levels of efficiency. Organize the workforce and ensure proper safety and operational competency. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results. Develop and maintain standard operating and quality procedures. Budgeting and control of all maintenace fixed costs, including Capital projects. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering GCC Mechanical Engineering 10 years working expereince in plant maintenence, preferably in a chemical operation or other continuous process, with 5 years in a managerial position Project Management Strong computer software skills, including SAP Proficient in reliability concepts, engineering and processes Good budget and bugetary skills Sound knowledge of the OSH Act Good knowledge of ISO standards Good interpersonal skills The Company offers a competative salary with the following benefits: Medical Aid (100% contributions paid by the company) Retirement Fund Risk Cover Study bursaries for employee's children We offer competitive salary and benefits as well as high standards of work and safety, in line with the requirements of the chemical industry.
