Minimum requirements:

Recognized accounting qualification is preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Assist with all aspects of the finance function, encompassing accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, and project
management
Cost control measures and manage cash flow efficiently
Maintain accurate and complete accounting records
Maintain an accurate and complete balances sheet
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel functionalities
Experience with Pastel (local finance system), Tagetik (group consolidation system), and a bespoke inventory control system will be advantageous
Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax agents,
bankers, and business partners
Oversee all aspects of tax filing (Corp tax, VAT), including preparation of schedules and reports
Manage payroll processing and tax submissions
Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring adherence to GAAP and IFRS
standards
Be informed and be able to recognize various types of scams and cyberfraud prevalent in modern business
Understand the dynamics of POPIA, POPI and information security
