Job Duties:
- Specialist in FAIS, NCA, PASA, FICA, Data Privacy Law, and FCSA regulations
- Implement ISO systems and accreditation
- Handle contract law and business law matters within a corporate environment
- Conduct risk assessment, incident response, and reporting
- Protect intellectual property
- Manage vendor and third-party risk
- Develop and implement policies
- Provide strong ethical leadership
- Conduct client vetting and onboarding
- Ensure regulatory compliance and liaise with regulatory bodies
Required Qualifications:
- LLB or BCOM degree with majors in Business and/or Contract Law
- RE5 and/or RE1 approved FSCA Key Individual
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in risk management and compliance
- Strong understanding of FAIS, NCA, PASA, FICA, and Data Privacy Law
- Knowledge of ISO systems and accreditation
- Ability to handle contract law and business law matters within a corporate setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Emotionally intelligent with strong ethical leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in risk management and compliance
- Experience in policy development and implementation
Working Conditions:
This role is based in Johannesburg Metro, Johannesburg, Bedfordview. The Manager Legal, Risk, and Compliance will work full-time hours in a dynamic banking and finance environment, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and manage risk effectively.
