Our client based on the East Rand, is seeking a senior AFTERMARKET Manager with a minimum of five years management experience in the Mining Plant manufacturing sector who is has a track record of success in managing a team of sales and service personnel in a similar environment. Responsibilities will include, planning, co-ordinating, growing and promoting all Aftermarket activities, products and services offered by the company. The Manager would be required to oversee and take responsibility along with the Director Sales and Marketing, to manage the After Market activities and Product Portfolio of the division, service team and the spares and wear parts sales departments. This role will be a key driver in the successful growth and delivery of the After Sales Support philosophy. The successful encumbent woul be required to provide and manage product support to all Sales Specialists Provide expert advice to Customers i.e. knowledge of process, equipment and services Identify strategies and implement accordingly for reconditioning, Field Service (via SupportLink) and Spares and Wears Parts Sales opportunities for growth On-going development of the After Market Sales Strategy Build profitable, sustainable relationships with Customers Create additional revenue growth through existing and new Customers Develop and implement a sustainable growth strategy for Spares and Wears Parts Sales Ensure the efficient and effective operational requirements of the service department are being maintained and managed PEOPLE MANAGEMENT Provide on-going training, internal and external, for department's employees, to effectively be able to support the organisations products in the field Manage and be accountable for departmental expenses and budgets Manage people's performance in both service through the service department and sales through parts and labour sales. Mentor and coach all After Market Employees to develop and grow talent within the whole area/department PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Matric (with English and Maths) - ND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. BComm or other Management related tertiary qualification. EXPERIENCE Previous experience within the industry from a Technical perspective • Previous experience of Spares and Wear Parts Sales would be advantageous. • Work experience in a mining construction and mobile equipment environment • Good technical background relating to various mining and construction equipment • Technical Background (understanding and ability to read technical drawings) • Good understanding of the product portfolio and applications thereof • Administrative i.e. reporting, presentations, analysis of performance PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES An assertive person, with excellent people management skills and good communication skills – verbal and written. Strong analytical skills and s trategic implementation ability plus s trong operational capabilities. Would suit a customer oriented person of high integrity with s ound judgment, excellent i nterpersonal skills and p roblem-solving ability. Someone who has the abilty to plan, organise and control and with the objective of improving the A remuneration package commensurate with experience and ability to manage the division and drive profitabilty will be negotiated.
