Purpose: To manage assigned project/s from initial phase to completion in terms of specifications, time and budget; adhering to project management principles and standards; i.e. planning, leading, organising and controlling, while ensuring that general performance responds to the performance scorecard. Responsibilities: 1. Client Solution Understands client problems at a programme level, come up with recommendations and solutions to the problem. Able to coach consultants on key consulting capabilities and give feedback. Delivers complex projects and programmes within quality, timelines, and budget. Delivers efficient and effective service within reasonable turnaround time. SLA /PID is in place and delivered to client satisfaction – positive client satisfaction surveys. Client scope verification done at kick off and signed. Project deliverables as per SLA are reported at monthly Exco meetings and every invoice submission is supported. No contractual penalties or non-conformance letter 2. Project planning Project management of the conceptual and planning phase of the project Availability of an approved itemized budget There is correct scope of work as defined for the project. Provides project specific information to the Senior Project Manager. Verifies the deliverables of the planning phase for implementation of the project/s. 3. Project implementation Implements and controls all stages of the project. Ensures that everyone involved adheres to the scope of work as per the project plan. Manages and monitors project budget to ensure that it is effectively spent and within projected timeframe. Manages quality assurance. Monitors quality and quantity of work done based on contract document. Manages and controls conflicts on sites and / or around project implementation 4. Project closure Manages all project completion requirements ensuring that all necessary requirements are adhered to. Compiles high quality Close Out report Facilitates communication with relevant stakeholders, ensuring that the project is properly handed over. Ensures that all project documents are properly filed. Provides specifications documents and tender documents. Ensures that all contracted stakeholders have signed contracts and other relevant documents. Exercises necessary risk management to ensure that all stakeholders comply and that safety on site is carried out in terms of specifications Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Finance or equivalent qualification; and project management certificate 5 years' experience in project management in related field. Minimum 3-5 years' experience of business management or consulting experience in a reputable business Experience in Revenue enhancement and management in municipal environment Project management: 5 years (Required) Management Consulting: 3 years (Preferred) Experience working with municipalities or related field
